The cases are mostly when a Catholic girl marries a Hindu. No doubt some of them convert, but they normally dont practice after converting. The problem is when they have children... what abt the children?? The father being head of the family wants to see his child follow his religion, the mother hers and the child is caught up in between. The nuns n priests must have also seen this when they interview the child for school admission and that may also be one of the reason to implement this rule strictly. Rgds Edward Verdes
