Hence, although there will be a public meeting in South Goa on the garbage issue (see details in the GOACAN memo below) , it will not be on the scale earlier envisioned. But please do spread the word about the meeting to your South Goa contacts and urge them to attend. The IFFI entertainment contract has gone to Wizcraft, which is now seeking tenders for food stalls. Please make your views known to the company that any contract with respect to IFFI food stalls should include a clause binding the food stall owners to refrain from using non-biodegradables as far as possible and a guarantee that they will segregate their garbage, failing which, they should be fined.
