Since my last message you have had to indulge in 4 responses. It appears you want to hog the limelight, the red-carpet, the before and after party.....which is fine....but not the bandwidth - all you have to talk about is left-winger, right-winger, hand-wringer, Islamo-fascists, bombs, killings, death and the likes....hardly the kind of fella one would like to walk up to for a chat. You often indulge in assumptions and make-believe. For starters let me remind you what Aquino Noronha observed in writing (which is when he erred, as per you) on Nov 9/05: "Mr. Goveia has been pestering Goanet with his conservative, pro-Bush mails. He is using this forum to spread his extremely biased views on all matters with a very right-wing standpoint." At no time did he say you were a right-winger or anything else. At no time did he use any adjectives to describe you. He has merely characterized your actions. Yet you chose to classify him a "liberal, anti-Bush left winger". In addition you have chosen to classify everybody who responded, Santosh, Gabe and myself as left-wingers. Typical strong-arm tactics to dissuade anybody else from getting into the debate lest they be branded "left-wingers". All the ensuing exchange is on account of you taking liberties to insult anybody and everybody who does not conform to your side of the US political divide. Little do you realise that most Goanetters care a damn for the US political divide and they don't care to comment on anything specific. And that's where Aquino is coming from. When you address me as: "Bosco, I wish you had taken logic in college." Is that your attempt at flattery ?? Or an attempt at puerile sarcasm that you accuse Gabe Menezes of ?? You are obviously indicating that you have monopolized logic and rationale while the rest of us are indeed "duffers" (to quote Gabe). You don't have to explicitly say it. Your writing indicates so. That does not make you a polite debater, does it ?? And don't give me humbug about "spirited debate". That is the same logic you are applying to call Aquino a "liberal, anti-Bush left winger". Is name-calling a part of "spirited debate"?? And going by your logic, the Vatican / Holy See is a left-wing organization that opposes freedom and democracy for 50 million Muslims, previously oppressed by Muslim tyrants, HUH ?? That's because they opposed the US going to war in Iraq. If people are opposing your point of view across the US political divide - don't link it to sympathy for Islamo-fascism. This has to stop - right now! If you really wish to have "spirited debate" with Goanetters, you take the first step and have a decent exchange with a fellow Goanetter. Do what you want others to do - counter their thoughts and ideas, don't attack them and tag them with adjectives and name-calling. I got into this debate to highlight how Mario Goveia has constantly resorted to stifle the opinions of Goanetters with the use of intimidating language on almost every issue.
