Mario, I asked you a VERY SPECIFIC question: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosa_Parks After you have read the link, I would like you to tell the rest of Goanet if you have understood in which year the Rosa Parks protest was. Now, either: 1) You do not know how to deal with specific questions of 2) You have not understood the question. Until you are able to come up with a response, the rest of Goanet are affording you the respect you so richly deserve ;-) And you wonder why no one providing YOU with specifics................ > The point I had made was that > it was now DECADES after Rosa Parks, and your > information about the progress made by African > Americans since then is ridiculously obsolete. A fine mind such as yours could become the envy of every immigrant in the US. All you have to do is concentrated your efforts on improving the lot of your sub-group. Fifty years ago, Rosa Parks insisted that every non-white American should have the same rights as a white American. Rosa Parks was the spark that enabled every non-white American to achieve that dream. At this moment, immigrant Americans such as yourself, do not have the same rights as American born citizens. To be SPECIFIC, you cannot run for all the elected positions in the US. Perhaps, you should sit down somewhere and not move until they give you that right (i.e. unless, of course, you are happy with the rights you do not have.) Mervyn3.0 Alternately, you could always get into your car and drive the three hours it takes to move to Canada. Here, any Canadian can contest any elected post. __________________________________________________________ Find your next car at http://autos.yahoo.ca
