Regarding you reference to Bajrang dal cheerleader of Romi Konkani. Do you think it will make one ounce of a difference to those people (who you assert correspond in English but support Romi Konkani), whether it is Romi Konkani or Devanagri Konkani? Atleast they will make an attempt to read the sign boards or whatever if it is written in Romi script, than in devanagri where their knowledge might be zero. What you say might be right, they they may not know how to write Konkani, so do you think they will devanagri Konkani??? Just a curious question Jerry Fernandes Prof Borges wrote On the other hand, we have here a pack or a "Bajrang Dal" of cheerleaders of Romi script whose effusions add NOTHING to Konkani literature because their contributions are in the English language. To borrow the metaphorical language of one such prominent netizen, they are like cricketers advising footballers on the relative merits of the 4-2-4 v/s 4-4-2 formations. Their assertions are hollow and without substance because they cannot write one sentence straight in Romi Konkani. Had they attempted this, we would have been able to see samples of the messy state to which they have reduced their "Romi Konkani".
