Dabolim will stay: CM

BY HERALD REPORTER

PANJIM, NOV 22 – The Cabinet made it clear that Dabolim airport will not be
closed in the near future and that commercial operations will continue even
after Mopa international airport is commissioned.
Announcing this, Chief Minister Pratapsing Rane said, “there is no harm in
having two (international) airports.” He said night landings have been
allowed and added that Navy is co-operative.
Apparently, the Cabinet discussed the issue after the South Goa MP Churchill
Alemao two days ago, disclosed that the Union civil aviation ministry has
plans to shut down operations at Dabolim once Mopa is commissioned.
