In response to Hulya Gurkan a.k.a Anne Gurkan,

There are several reasons why Goans refrain from even considering to invest in
their homeland or beloved Goa.

Manuel Caldeira's cottage industry has run into "Vodoo Luck". He has been
trashed and considered a "BAILLO"
for bringing his technological advanced theories and ideas into a mentally
advanced Moira community of all the places in Goa.

Here is a classic example of an educated Manuel Caldeira who choses a suburban
lifestyle village only to be humiliated. In response to your postings as to
why Goans have abandoned their beloved GOa, here is a reflection of a European
returned Goan expatriate with talent and vision to educate Goans with
improvised state of the art technology.

It is sad and malicious for people in Goa to harbor anger, resentment and
prejudices against other fellow Goans.

This is an inbred quality that Goans have acquired. There is a saying in
Konkani " Tum Maca Kai Xikoipim num". Goans in Goa know everything. There is
nothing they need to know.

FN quotes:

Goa Handicraft, he says, told him that no NOC (no-objection certificate) is
needed by a cottage industry. But complaints from a neighbour led him to be
visited once by the sarpanch, thrice by the health officials, twice by pollution
control authorities from Panjim, once by the tax department from Panjim, twice
by the electricity department from Mapusa, and once by the deputy collector
from North Goa and even by the
police inspector at nearby Mapusa.

For a state which promises the red-carpet to
its large number of emigrant sons and daughters,
cases like these throw up inconvenient questions.
Does Goa encourage the small entrepreneur, a sector
which could bring about big change if replicated
across a sufficient number of cases?

"(Officials) they tell me this is Goa and you have to follow our rules. There
are many cases in the villages where the government officials have no mercy of
poor"

end of Quotes from FN"

The above statement are facts and not allegations made by a faithful and
subservient Goan Manuel Caldeira who wants to help his state.

This is an incredible shame on the entire beuaraucracy of Goa, this is an
absolute shame and disgrace that the people of Goa have resorted to such levels
of maligning their own fellow Goans.

One does not see these stereotypes within the other ethnic communities in India
such as the Malyalees, Bengalees, Punjabis, Maharashtrians, Madrasis, Telugu's
not one of these communities have the "CRAB SYNDROME" like our fellow Goans or
Goans in Goa.

Hopefully Hulya Gurkan will see these social issues and get things into
perspective as to why Goans are the way they are.

May be there is a serious need for a massive Center for Mental Disorders" as
Goans suffer from S.E.D (Seasonal Effetive Disorders). Which is; when a local
Goan in Goa sees his fellow brethren returned from "PHOREN" then all bets are
off.
