I had so many queries from around the world from fellow Goans askinig me if
there was any
VCD with English Subtitles etc
So, here is the one and the only one I found so far amongst the 60 odd Konkani
VCDs I
have.
ALEESHA, its Rajendra Talak's Creation, with all professional artists. No
wonder why it
is National Award Winning First Konkani Film.
Its about mining (Goa), it effects on polution, enviroment, locals etc etc. All
this has
been neglected by the money grabing industrialists. But in this case, the
newest member
of the family (a daugher-in-law) ALEESHA finally managed to bring in some
senses into her
husband and in-laws who themselves are mine owners.
Our Prince Jacob and Lorna also made 'guest appearance'.
Where Lorna sings 'Portun Aikat Mozo Tavo' and Prince Jacob as Government
officer/Inspector.
My congratulations to the producer and the entire team.
Hope we will get more of such films.
