Collem to Kule
26 Dec: India Today. 1987 News Highlights. Residents of Collem village, south Goa were outraged one morning when they found an ad in the paper saying that the name of their railway station was being changed to Kule by the South Central Railways. The residents then took the matter to the panchayat. It so happens that the word kule means "buttocks" in Konkani. The railways had to back off in the end.
