'Enjoy this glittering evening' ... and it was indeed, as Albano Pinto,
President of the NRI Club.9 welcomed 600 guests to celebrate the third annual
Goan Heritage Nite on Dec 8, 2005.

Based on the theme of the masquerade parade, the Hilton Resort, Kuwait was
adorned with fancy face masks that gave a colourful and mysterious ambience.
Kuwait's very own Stepping Stones unfurled the night's events with music that
enticed people to swing and sway onto the dance floor. Pure Magic, one of
Goa's top bands rocked the night away with pop, reggae, ballroom, indipop and
the evergreen Goan Mandos.

Goa's debonair compere, Updesh Swar stole the hearts of the guests with his
gregarious and energetic personality. He mingled with the crowds and had
everyone tapping to his rhythm with wittism and song. A traditional Goan-
Portuguese dance 'Marcha de Fontainhas' choreographed by Karmen Menezes was
performed by graceful dancers who enthralled the crowd and drew them to join
in the March.

The chief guest R. Singh, Manager of Air India lauded the efforts of Club.9
stating that this organization is one of a kind, different and unique from
other clubs in its sole aim of aiding the physically handicapped and mentally
challenged children of Daddy's Home in Goa.
