-------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Wishing all Goanetters | | a Prosperous | | and | | Happy New Year - 2006 | | Goanet - http://www.goanet.org | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello Edgar,
You mentioned Real Goans are more interested in making a fast buck out of tourism. Wish that was the case, and most Goans were self employed, or employed to enjoy the benefits of this fast buck, with all the menghai , but, well if one looks than mostly its only the tourist taxi drivers who may qualify for that, otherwise most of the business are run by non Goans. Goans are only employees in most places working or salaries hard for survival. Real Goans are looking either to migrate or look for jobs out of India. Government jobs are hard to get, as they require vasta and bribes, which most goans cannot afford. Cheers Jerry From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: e: [Goanet] Is Saleli a local issue or Ghanti's issue? The recent incident in Valpoi describes complete lawlessness in Goa. It appears that Ghanti's, Ghanti's and more Ghanti's are attached to this issue in North Goa than mainstream Goans. Valpoi and North Goa is of little or less interest to Panjimites and Ponjekar's. Real Goans are more interested in making a fast buck out of tourism, and very soon eco-tourism. They can tear and themselves leave them alone. Does it really matter?
