What communist source informed you that "American capitalism" is "ravaging" nature? We have cleaner emissions than we had a decade ago and more trees than when the first settlers arrived. > Cornel writes: > > But I suggest that you are thoroughly confused thinking that > envy comes into the picture at all. > Mario responds: > The very fact that you talk in gross generalities about "American capitalism" proves my point that there is gross envy at work in all your thinking, not to mention a profound lack of understanding of how capitalism works. Only a socialist frame of mind would support international Kyoto Protocols that demand national controls, aimed at the major industrialized western economies, while exempting India and China. > Cornel writes: > > It is the very survival of the planet, as we know it, that > really matters and the current American administration ignores > this and imperils us all, including militarily making the > world ever so dangerous. > Mario writes: > This "survival of the planet" canard is a convenient but bogus claim in order to try and achieve the socialist goal through the back door what socialism failed through the front door, which is to bring the western economies down to the least common international denominator. > What lack of knowledge or common sense would make anyone who follows current events to believe that the world is more dangerous now than it was before 9/11? Perhaps you missed on your vacation that both Afghanistan and Iraq had successful elections, with millions voting while defying the Islamo-fascists who you support, who were targeting and killing them to deter them. Such progress towards democracy, plus the peaceful capitulation by Lybia, could only be considered dangerous by a committed communist. Or is it the fact the Muslims are being liberated that bothers you? > Cornel writes: > > You can keep your America Mario, I wouldn't have it > even if you paid me for it. > Mario writes: > I don't think America is for you, Cornel. You want a guaranteed safety net. That's not the kind of American spirit that we encourage here. However, you would find plenty of company on the anti-American left. Extreme anti-Americans like George Soros, Michael Moore, Cindy Sheehan, etc. believe exactly as you do. > Cornel writes: > > I saw it well at first hand and I reckon well before you > stepped in there. Even low income African-Americans live better than most middle-income Europeans and Rosa Parks is ancient history, which people like you try to use to deflect attention from the ghettoes in which people of color live in the UK and most of Europe. BTW, people who follow George Pinto's positions have been out of power for quite sometime now, and are unlikely to return to power since they cannot be trusted with our national security, or that of the world. You need to catch up with what is going on here. > Besides, to show you how out of the mainstream your ideas actually are, the American system is validated every day by the millions of people from all over the world, people with the American spirit, who clamor to get in here, legally or illegally. > And our foreign policy of encouraging freedom and democracy around the world, something you virtual communists abhor, is validated by the young, mostly Christian, Americans who volunteer to risk their lives on behalf of other people, currently mostly Muslim. > Cornel writes: > > I have spelt out my reservations about the American > exploitative scenario in many posts and have no wish to waste > my time repeating myself. > Mario writes: > Please feel free to repeat yourself, as it reminds people of how little you know about the US and about how a typical extreme left wing anti-American thinks. > Cornel writes: > > I also have better things to do than engage in endless futility > when responding to your posts. Sorry to disapoint you mate. > Mario responds: > Actually, you have not disappointed me at all. I love it when anti-American socialists and virtual communists display their lack of knowledge about the US. It reminds us of how good we have it here, and how wonderful it is to live in a country that goes to the aid of oppressed people around the world, while people like you wallow in bitterness and envy. >
