Survey Fact Finding: The call of the year 2006 and hence forth is: Every
Goan has to be "Movers & Shakers" Even when these alarming bells are ringing
loud and clear our elderly personnel are heading to control the youths with
an intension to take control of entire situations prevailing in Goa. All
these days we thought these personalities make sense. But no they are not!
Out come of first week's survey is:They are frustrated to realize that Goans
are losing their identity. Today's youth demand that all should follow and
respect People's agenda not Party's agenda! Today's youth don't wont to give
value to what was going in the past. They spontaneously react to terms like
secularism, communalism & Corruptionalism? According to them these terms
makes no sense! According to them world over these terms are being discussed
day in and out without any out come. So why should we spend our time, money
and energy into these terms? What is of relevance today for Goa is ensuring
and maintaining Goan identity in Goa? They fill frustrated when one says
"Our good old days were better then now" To these daily phrases like a
prayer they react venting out their feelings saying "His master's voice era
is over. Now you listen to us. You just cannot fool us every day. We have
all our senses well working. With all this in tact we have now realized that
we have no identity left in Goa! Further more they keep saying I also know
that you are being fooled by scrupulous personalities to achieve their own
agenda in spite of your best feelings for Goa. Please don't bother us with
those stupid ideologies. You are free to live with your own ideology. We
know what we have to do to save our Goa" At the same breath they continue
saying "Don't you worry we are not going to migrate any more from Goa. You
want to make fast bugs and enjoy your rest of the time thinking how best you
can sell Goa and Goans that too just for money! We wonder whether money is
everything in this changing Goan scenario? We also know that builders and
contractors try to keep Goans happy where by Goans get obliged to sell their
motherland Goa. Youths were found to be getting furious saying "You could
not preserve the identity of Goa and yet you are giving us big lectures to
preserve our Goan identity?"
Next version of the survey will be posted on this Goanet as survey report
pores in. Till than think how to save our Goa if at all you have feelings
for Goa! Your ideas and views are most welcome.
