Cabinet decides to notify more industrial estates
Jan 10 – Goa cabinet today decided to amend Goa Daman & Diu Industrial
Development Act to notify more areas as industrial estates.
Briefing reporters following a cabinet meeting today, chief minister
Pratapsing Rane said that the amendment was necessitated to bring the
new areas which were acquired by the government to bring under the
purview of this Act.
The cabinet also decided to compile action taken report (ATR) on the
decisions taken by cabinet. The ATR will expedite the cabinet
decisions and will help towards better implementation of the report.
As regard to Mono Rail project, Mr Rane said that the process of
appointing experts for the evaluation of bids is in progress.
When asked about Mopa airport, Mr Rane said that the ball is in prime
minister's court as far as Mopa airport is concerned.
