--------------------------------------------------------------------------
hi,

iam very said to see the state of goa going into shambles by the politicians
and by the policies, GOA CANNOT PROVIDE VERY BASIC NEEDS FOR PEOPLE COMING
INTO THE STATE

i was in goa for 15 nights from 15th of dec to the 30th i was to stay until
the 10th of jan but i was so frustrated by what i seen in goa, as a goan i was
proud to tell all my english collegue that they should visit goa as it is one
of the most beautiful place in south east asia(India) but i came to goa after
3 1/2 years but instead of seeing development i saw nothing better

AIRPORT: I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I LANDED FROM LONDON A GOAN LADY IMMIGRATION
OFFICER (POLICE) DID NOT KNOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH TO THE ENGLISH PEOPLE I HAD TO
TRANSLATE TO THEM WHAT SHE (POLICE) WANTED FOR THEM TO SIGN ON THE
DISEMBARKATION CARD AND THEIR DETAILS
AIRPORT:OVER ALL THE AIRPORT IS VERY NICE BUT THE SERVICES NEED TO IMPROVE.
ALSO THERE IS NO HARRESMENT FROM ANY CUSTOM OFFICERS FOR PEOPLE COMING FROM
ABROAD TOURIST INFORMATION DESK, MONEY EXCHANGE

1) THE ROADS :Goa still caters to all the tourist the same old CHOGM Roads no
directional signage for visiting tourist,no warning signs,no road markings,no
speed limits, speed breakers at Santacruz (even if it is there the warning
signs ,they not visible from distance) something called REDUCE SPEED NOW is
needed there are so many deaths in the state due to accidents ,even the
internal roads of the villages are so bad ,the roads leading to the hotels in
south goa are so bad that one is unaware whats going to happen when you are
riding or driving on these roads, and the politians are not bothered a bit
regarding it ,even though they visit these locations for their own needs

2)HEALTH SERVICE: All a politician needs to be is a minister for health but is
unaware of the difficulties that the people are facing ,you need to come down
to a llevel of a lay person to actually understand the difficulties that they
are facing in the region, there is always Millions of Rupees taken from the
centre to improve but nothing reaches the lay person, only influential people
get through if anything is needed,There are So many problems in the health
that they dont have even one good hospital for the South of goa i dont
understand how they fool people at the time of election, that they would get
everything in order

3)PUBLIC TANSPORT: Foreign Tourist that come would love to travel local places
by any means of Public Transport which ever is available to travel from place
to place and in a way it could mean more income for the state,The services
should improve the vehicles are still very old and very unsafe for people to
travel in it as the break lights of most of the public buses(Kadamba) dont
work so much of polution through their exaust so much of rattling inside the
buses that

4)BAYWATCH: Baywatch should be from at least 9am to 5pm with maximum number
with towers on every beach as all tourist visiting goa are bound to take dip
in the sea, and also should be provided with 4x4 wheel drives no matter what
type even quade bikes should be good enough, medical representative should also
be present and its a must that these people should be proffessionals to take
care of people swimming in nthe sea

IMPROVMENTS: LIGHTING ;i have seen that the lighting sector has improved,
market facilities have improved ,but cleanliness is total 0 meat markets are
very dirty, MILLIONS HAVE BEEN SPEND ON INOX AND ITS INFRASTRUCTURE BUT THE
SAME MONEY COULD BE UTILISED FOR WHAT ACTUALLY GOA NEEDS (TOURIST AND ON THE
PEOPLE LEAVING IN THE STATE OF GOA)

IT WAS THE BIGGEST SHAME ON THE MP(CHURCHILL ALEMAO) TO BE CAUGHT ON NATIONAL
T.V. IN A SCANDLE OF RECIEVING BRIBE AND CALLING GOANS IDIOTS ,TO SOME EXTEND
I FEEL THEY ARE AS THEY VOTE HIM TIME AND AGAIN AND HE MAKES VERY GOOD USE OF
THE POSITION HE IS IN,

BABUSH MINISTER FOR TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING:I HAVE COME TO KNOW THAT HE
HOLDS PEOPLE FOR RANSOM FIRST HE LETS THEM BORROW LOAN FROM HIM KEEPS ALL THE
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS WITH HIM DRAFTS THE AGREEMENT AS HE NEEDS IT BECAUSE THE
PERSON IS IN NEED HE WOULD EXPLOIT HIS POSTION TO TAKE CONTROL OF HIS LAND OR
HOUSE IN DUE COURSE OF TIME AS THE PERSON WOULD FALL BACK ON REPAYMENTS,
I WOULD REQUEST THE CONCERN AUTHORITIES (CENTRAL GOVERMENT OR EVEN THE
PRESIDENT OF INDIA)TO LOOK INTO THESE TYPES OF CORRUPT  MINISTERS AND TAKE
THEM OFF FROM BEING IN POLITICS FOREVER

I HOPE MY VIEWS WOULD BE REFLECTED TO THOUSANDS OR EVEN MILLIONS IN THE STATE
AND ABROAD AND I DONT MIND THIS VIEWS OF MINE ARE PUT ON PRESS BY WHICH I HOPE
IT COULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE STATE OF GOA
THANKS
LUIS
PLS REPLY TO MY VIEWS AND THE RESPONSE TO IT
