Rebel K'taka JD-S MLAs may camp in Goa NT Staff Reporter Panaji Jan 20: Around 46 rebel MLAs of the Janata Dal-Secular from Karnataka are expected to check in a South Goa resort early tomorrow morning as report from Bangalore indicated that these MLAs were heading towards Goa. Though top leaders of the state Bharatiya Janata Party are in New Delhi, responsibility of these MLAs is stated to have been given to second-rung leaders. The state BJP chief, Mr Rajendra Arlekar, when contacted over cellphone, denied having any information on the JD-S MLAs being moved to Goa. Mr Arlekar said the BJP's national council meeting held in the evening and Goa leaders had discussed Karnataka issue with senior leaders, Mr Venkiah Naidu and Mr Anantha Kumar. "Both these leaders have not informed anything about the JD-S MLAs shifting into Goa," Mr Arlekar informed. Unconfirmed sources revealed that a Colva resort has been booked for these MLAs, who will return to Bangalore on January 26. -- Cheers, Gabe Menezes.
