Hi Gabriel, With "not quite true" - are you conceding that it was true and that Domnic's statement above has merit. And with "not in Loutolim" are you conceding that the statement above is true with regard to other parts of Goa ?? Please treat my query as one coming from a history buff and not the often seen on Goanet, politically-sensitive end of the spectrum. It is heartening to see that rural Goa has a high rate of literacy albeit nothing much has been indicated in that report on the methodologies on how that data was assembled and analysed.
