Indian airports need licences from 2006 For the first time, the government has decided that all airports in the country will need to be licensed to ensure that they conform to standards laid down by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). For years now, ICAO has been raising this with India as this will help streamline airline operations. The deadline is expected to be March 31 for all airports, international and domestic.>> ------------------- Let's hope that with this measure an era of genuine transparency will emerge at Dabolim civil enclave so that its future can be planned in a proper and timely way.
