Hi RKN, Please do not be too harsh on the miniscule minority of Bhatkars and Fidalgos in Goa (pre-1961). They were really like "A one-eyed person, who is a king among the blind". Kind Regards, GL
Radhakrishnan Nair: Portuguese Goa was a "neat and civilized society" only to the miniscule minority of bhatkars and their progeny like you. For the vast majority, it was an awful place with few opportunities, no freedom and zilch hope, so that they were forced to migrate to all parts of the globe.
