Muitissimo obrigado Senhor Gabriel de Figueiredo for reminding me of mangoes.
Reminiscences of the month of May when we used to go back to our village for holiday that fish was a scarce commodity in the hot season. Breakfast was usually katream pao stuffed liberally with mangada made from moosrad/monseratte mangoes. Lunch was however, a problem. In the pre fishing trawler's age instead of fish we relied on mangoes. The dilemma was, if we had two plateful of rice/sorrak with misskoot or follantle tor made of tender raw mangoes. then there was no room for dessert of slices after slices of luscious malcurado mangoes.
