Willy against long winter session BY HERALD REPORTER PANJIM, FEB 4 -- Deputy Chief Minister Dr Wilfred de Souza said that there is no need for a long winter session. Replying to a question during a press conference, here, he said that budget session anyway will be held next month, which will be long enough to discuss various matters.
Responding to incessant criticism by Opposition Leader Manohar Parrikar, the Deputy Chief Minister said Parrikar is bound to do so because he is in the Opposition. However, all he said may not be true, he said adding that correct picture will be clear on the floor of the House in the session beginning on February 13. MOPA: Advocating more airports he said, "I don't see any reason objecting new airport coming up." He was replying to a question on Mopa airport issue. To another question, he ruled out Goa going for mid-term polls but exuded confidence that the NCP would be in alliance with the Congress as in the present situation. Talking on the emerging scenario, De Souza hinted that re-qualified independent Velim MLA, Filipe Neri Rodrigues who is supporting the government now is likely to join Congress Party before the next elections.
