Panaji, Feb 13 (UNI) Governor S C Jamir has promised to formulate a detailed blue print for bringing about e-governance through a suitable Public-Private Partnership to improve delivery of public services to average citizen with speed, quality and transparency in government functioning. In his address to the first session of the year of the Goa Assembly today amid a 'silent walkout' by the Oposition BJP, Mr Jamir said the government had also proposed to provide people with broadband connectivity through optical fibre cable network in all villages besides setting up an information technology park. Under the Information security education and awareness programme initiated by the Centre, he said, the State government had appointed 25 new faculty members in the College of Engineering at Farmagudi which was identified as the participating institution under the project from Goa. At the sametime,in yet another bold step, the authorities were installing video conferencing equipment in the judicial lok-ups, Mapusa sub-jail, Sada and district courts of Panaji and Margao to facilitate conduct of trials through video conferencing.
