In my own defence I should mention the following: 1. Characterisation as the resident air expert is not of my volition. Its an epithet of Gerry Ferns alone. 2. I dont recall having given any speculation/reasons in my post on the subject -- just posed a couple of questions. 3. As to his longwinded defence of the Navy's presence in Goa, I would only refer him to the acute observatons made on this subject by George Pinto and Gabriel de Figuieredo before my post appeared.
