Languages are like mango trees. They give the best fruit when grafted.
Many Hindi words have entered English (just like have Arabic, French, Latin
and South American words) (see below for a tiny set)
Accordingly .... many Goans (despite the attempt at decapitating Portuguese
words from Konkani) still use the word "Obrigadh (from the Portuguese
obrigado/obrigada) to say Thank You -when speaking Konkani.
Others say : Deu Borem Korun, Dhaniyawadh, or Ttank You.
Unless you atheists speak that Contrived Contraption called "pure" Konkani.
BTW: Are the following PURE ENGLISH words ...or are they "Mere
Translations"?
