UNUSUAL ADVERT
--------------------------------------------------------------

I Nezia Gonsalves, residing at H No 65, Santan Talaulim, Ilhas Goa would like to change my parents name Gonsalves Peter Raimond to Pedro Raimondo Gonsalves and Gonsalves Preciosa to Preciosa de Souza on my passport bearing No B 3599035 issued on 20/06/01 at Panaji, Goa.

jcx query:

What is so unsual about that advert Fred?

If a person wishes to change one's name, does the Law not require one to place that advert in the newspapers ?

What this "advert" looks like doing is ....Correcting the names of parents on the Individual's passport.

The "new" names are most likely the names "AS THEY APPEAR" on the parents' birth certificates.

Should give you a clue WHY this person wishes to have those names corrected (;-)

i.e. So that she will NOT need (or so the person most likely believes) a Certificate of Divergence in any future applications for change of Nationality.

just my view
