NEW KONKANI VCD 'BAKAR SUDHORLO" RELEASED IN KUWAIT.
Comedy Queen Janet and Filipe Almeida released their first Konkani Film in
the form of VCD BAKAR SUDHORLO in Kuwait City today evening, 23rd February
2006 and it will be available for sale immediately. The duration of this
VCD is one hour and it is full of comedy dished out by all the top comedians
of the Konkani stage, namely master character comedian Ben Evangelisto,
comedian Agostinho, comedian Ambe, comedian Sally, comedian Joana, Filipe
Almeida, Domnick, Santan and the most sought after comedian known as comedy
Queen Janet herself.
BAKAR SUDHORLO is a comedy play written by Filipe Almeida and directed by
Fabian J. D. Costa. The story revolves around the Landlord who in order to
prevent his only daughter from mixing up with lower caste people forcibly
confines her within his residential place only. However, his daughter thru
her persistent efforts releases from his fathers bondage and falls in love
with a boy who is much lower than her in caste and status. And ultimately
what is the end of the story, one can know only after seeing this Film which
will be available for sale at Sour Grounds from tomorrow onwards and
elsewhere.
Musicial score for this VCD is provided by Chris Correia and Alfin Ferns.
Speaking to this writer Comedy Queen Jannet said since it is her first VCD,
she expects full support from the Konkani community in general and Goan
community in particular. Knowing the cooperative nature of the Kuwait Goan
community she feels that her VCD will receive good response thereby
encouraging her to go for more of such VCD's and thru which enrich our
mother tongue Konkani and raise our language to the highest pedestal. She
also hope that people will like it and enjoy it very much. She also request
the people to purchase the original VCD's and support her venture instead
of purchasing duplicates thru which the producer finally suffers losses.
Earlier she said people used to see her acting in the VCDs produced by other
directors but now it is an opportunity for everyone to see her acting in her
own VCD. While concluding, she said "LOVE TO ALL".
