Hi For some time now my hubby and I have thought about buying an apartment in Goa and trying to move out there to live.
My main fear however is the snakes, scorpions, etc. I have one helluva phobia about snakes. I have been told that snakes can come into your homes in the monsoon season and if this is the case then our plans for a lovely future are scuppered before we even start. I know this could be true about rural Goa but could you please give me an honest answer to this. If we had an apartment in the residential area, ie where the shops, etc are, and didn't stay on the ground floor, what would be the chances of us encountering snakes in our home or on the main streets. We have been on holiday to Goa many times and luckily, so far, only snakes I saw were with snake charmers so I could give them a very wide berth.
