I hope someone informs the journalist that Feni is
made from distilling the juice of the cashew fruit! 

Correct me if I am wrong, but juice from the
cashew-nut husk (outer layer) is used as a
preservative for the hulls of traditional fishing
boats (oddem), as also was once used to lubricate the
hubs of the "boilam gaddi" (which have virtually
disappeared).
