I would like to add to HIGH STAKES AT SANVORDEM by VM de Malar and THE SEIGE OF PANJIM by Jason Keith I do not understand when it is reported that BJP leaders incite people over water shortage in Vasco, and barge into PWD offices, mob creates rukus, breaks table glass etc, why no Police action IMMEDIATELY follows, no arrests, nothing happens when government property is damaged? In fact cover up/hushing up are done expertly! The majesty of the Law is not being upheld, but in fact manipulated./ trampled upon! I see CCP elections banners of Manohar Parrikar and his candidate being torn down and those of Monserrate left untouched. Valentine Coelho of Soccoro gets vehicles in his garrage vandalised because he dares question IT Park proposed.We have a depraved system ,when then GPSC is empowered to grant liscences to Stone Crushing units without worrying about the consequences of unmonitored and unregulated functionning on the local people there! It appears to be a free for all, with Goa and its docile and all other gentle people being taken for granted. Those who live by the sword will die by the sword.What is the use of Authorities, if they do not bring solace and justice to the poor and suffering people? They have the power to strictly ensure Law and Order. Why do complaints have to be made, roads blocked, people forced to agitate or take the law into their own hands, before the authorities Act? ARE WE HEADING FOR ANARCHY? This sort of ugly mockery of democracy has no place for the law abiding non communal people of beautiful Goa , if it will still exist!
