A maquette of the Abbe Faria stamp/postcard has been prepared by one of the three countries petitioned to, and while official confirmation is awaited, there is encouraging reason to be optimistic that an Abbe Faria stamp will be issued on the occasion of his 250th birth anniversary (May 31, 2006).
