Goa police arrest two men in priest murder case 21 Mar 2006 - PTI Panaji/Nagpur: Two persons were today arrested at Nagpur for their alleged involvement in the murder of a Catholic priest in south Goa, police said. The accused - Amit Shukla and Manish Dubey - were arrested by a team of Goa police officials in Nagpur and the duo would be brought to Goa soon, Superintendent of Police (south) Shekhar Prabhudesai said.
"They have confessed to the crime and the motive can be ascertained only after interrogating them," he said. Nagpur city Zonal Deputy Commissioner Prabhat Kumar said the duo had a transport business in Madgaon. Fr Eusebio Ferrao was found murdered at his official residence on Saturday morning. Police suspected the involvement of two youths, who had dinner with the priest a few hours before the murder. Goa police team went to Uttar Karnataka and later to Nagpur in search of the accused, senior police officials said. ~(^^)~ Avelino
