There will be a Diabetes Detection & Prevention Campaign at Nagargao, near
Valpoi, from 08.00 A.M.on 02 April, 2006.The team led by Director-Club
Services of Rotary Club of Mapuca, Dr.Digambar Naik, along with Dr. Anagha
Chanekar, other doctors and paramedics will attend the camp.  Dr.P.G.Dalal
[Ph.2374219] will co-ordinate at Valpoi and Mr. Kaka Karmalkar
[Ph.2374202]at Nagargao in association with Mr Shankarrao Fadtare[2326018,
9422643281] at Faria Farms, Naneli. Names should be registered with the
above persons, the Village Panchayat office of Nagargao or with the Panchas
by Friday 31 March, 2006, so that arrangements for testing and breakfast can
be made.

Participants in the campaign have been requested to come on a hungry stomach
to enable "fasting blood sugar" testing. Breakfast will be provided and
testing will be done free. There will be an interactive session on how to
detect signs of diabetes and what diet to follow to reduce chances of
diabetes. The interaction will be in the local language.

As usual, the Rotary Clubs of Goa will participate in the Pulse Polio
programme that will be held on 09 April, 2006.The 'Polio Plus' programme is
funded by the Rotary Foundation [TRF] worldwide.
