CYRILA PEREIRA WINS LONDON'S FRINGE REPORT AWARD
Croydon's Goan resident Cyrila Pereira, working for The Stage - a weekly
newspaper for the performing arts - as editorial office manager and Party
organizer, has won the Fringe Report Award 2006 for her excellent work on
the new year event, held annually at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, which
was presented to her by Fringe Report editor John Park. The award comes
with a citation, which read as follows: "The award reflects Cyrila
Pereira's
imaginative production of the Stage's vast annual party, in particular its
125th Anniversary Party in 2005. It recognizes her organizational
brilliance in the formidable administration and planning involved, her
flair
and style for creating exciting and memorable events and her welcoming
friendliness at the parties she creates."
Cyrila is the wife of Tony Pereira, who plays and helps run the Goan
Hockey
Club. They have a 6-year old son Dylan.
