We, at South Goa Public Interest Action Group (SGPIAG) a registered NGO based in Margao,Salcete, South Goa District ,with jurisdiction, at present, over the entire South Goa Parliamentary Constituency had represented to the Goa University the discrepancy in the course fee for Management studies viz MBA 2006-2008. While the course fee was listed as Rs.57.000 for Graduates from Goa University and Rs.96,000 for those from other Universities it was pointed to them that students of Goan origin pursuing studies outside the state would tend to pay higher fees for and treated on par with students from outside the State.
The same applies to the fees for hostel as well. The University has placed the issue before the Academic Council and have agreed to refund the excess fees.
