A new kind of mafia operates in India. It is the corporate Mafia, which holds itself unaccountable to the law. Corporations must have a social conscience. They must fully participate in the socio-economic dynamics of the community they operate in. Where are scholarships from Corporations? Where are community parks, libraries, museums, roads, sponsored by Corporations in India? In the developed world, Corporations are very active within the Community, but this same spirit is totally lacking in India. This despite the availability of cheap labour (sustained by government's lack of enforcement of a minimum wage and turning a blind eye to child labour), tax subsidies and other fiscal incentives that are routinely doled out to the business community. Shame on you, Corporate India, shame on you!
