Goa never had a real hockey scene. It was the Africanders who made efforts
to
get the game going with six a side tourneios. On and off there was some
league
games. There were also summer camps conducted by a NIS coach called Red Ant
from
Guirim. The best performance by a Goan junior team was probably in 78.
