Speaking after the inauguration, Archbishop Concessao said, "Blessed Teresa of Calcutta has become a symbol of God’s compassion for the poorest of the poor and I am very glad that she has been chosen to be the patron of the new church in Parparganj." Recognising the church as a symbol of unity, Auxiliary Bishop of Delhi, Anil Couto said, "The new church building may be a worthy instrument in the hands of God to bind the people of God together as one fellowship in Christ and help them to witness to their Christian faith." According to CBCI’s web site, the foundation for the Blessed Teresa Church was laid October 19, 2004, and the entire team of Indraprastha Extension Parish mobilised the resources under the leadership of the parish priest, Father Victor D'Souza. "We are delighted to have the church dedicated to a saint whom we had seen and met, than to some unknown to us," said Father D’Souza. Secretary of Indraprasta Extension Christian Association, N.J. Sebastian said, "We are indebted to Father Victor D’Souza for leading the entire parish community as one, involving us in every stage of decision-making and ensuring our contribution." _____________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
