Canacona.net launched A comprehensive website canacona.net covering various facets of Canacona taluka, on the southern tip of Goa, was quietly launched on 1st May 2006. The website is designed, developed and maintained by Consult Infosys, Margao. Canacona taluka, which has remained the nerve-centre of our hoary culture and the very bossom of Mother Nature, was ceded to the Portuguese by the Saundekar (Raja of Saunde) in 1763. As eminent independent journalist Federick Noronha puts it, it is one of the few places that treasure a semblance of the Goa of yester-years. The area also boasts some of the states most outstanding sceneries with its indented coastline that includes the reigning queen of Goas beaches Palolem.
