"Jaycee Creed Awards" is one of the premier programs of JCI India Zone XI. The motive of this program is to recognize the contributions of Individuals who have excelled in their respective fields and who exemplify the best attributes of Indian citizens. "Jaycee Creed" honorees are those Outstanding Citizens of India who are a role model in society and whose contributions and accomplishments have inspired thousands of others to seek similar heights.
A program that was established in the year 1996, Jaycee Creed honorees from the past include such distinguished personalities like Kiran Bedi, Super cop Julio Rebeiro, Eminent Scientist R. Mashelkar, Shri Khairnar, International Pop Star Remo Fernandes, etc. At a glittering Awards Ceremony that will be held on the 6th of May 2006, in Gaspar Dias Hall, Miramar, Panaji-Goa, at 6.00 pm, JCI India, Zone XI will felicitate the following 5 outstanding citizens: 1. Shri Mario Miranda(Eminent Cartoonist of International repute) 2. Shri Anna Hazare(Social Activist) 3. Shri M. S. Usgaokar(former Additional Solicitor General of India) 4. Shri Bruno Coutinho(Ex Captain of Indian Football team) 5. Shri Nitin Kunkoliekar (GCCI President). The felicitation function will highlight the career of each honoree in a narrative form and will provide a stage from which the honorees can challenge and inspire people from across the State. For each honoree, there will be a presentation profiling his accomplishments, followed by the trophy presentation, and an acceptance speech. An interaction session with the dignitaries shall follow. The felicitation/ Interaction program is open to the public. JCI Panjim are the hosts of the event. JCI India Zone XI will be represented by its Zone President Jc HGF Nitin Prabhu who will chair the function. The function will also include National President of JCI India Shri M Rajanbabu who will be in Goa for his official visit.
