Last Saturday, April 29, I visited Joao Inacio De Souza (JID), the sausage maker, at his residence in Gaunsavaddo, Mapusa. He is about 94 years old now date of birth: December 8, 1912. For his age, he is in very good health - he talks, walks and understands people. JID began his sausage making business in 1961. JIDs brother, Seby De Souza, died on July 29, 2004. He was 68 years old. He is survived by his wife, six sons and one daughter. JID's nephew, Yansi, now runs the sausage business. Joao Inacio and Yansi can be contacted at 2252024 & 2263233.
