3rd May, 2006 PRESS RELEASE IVRS SERVICE COMMISSIONED ON KONKAN RLY ROUTE Now passengers travelling by Konkan Railway trains need not arrive early at station and wait in queue for getting information about the status of their ticket or to find out accommodation availability for a particular train. Keeping in mind the need of passengers, Konkan Railway has introduced IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System) on its major stations in order to enable people to get telephonic information at ease. The IVRS has been opened at Ratnagiri, Madgaon , and Udupi stations. For Ratnagiri, Madgaon and Udupi stations, the BSNL number in the same exchange area is 1330. For accessing information from outside the exchange area and from cellular phones, the numbers are 02352-229999 (Ratnagiri), 0832-2700730 (Madgaon), and 0820-2524533 (Udupi).
