Many thanks for the clarification re the "venerable poster." Further, it is absolutely true that large numbers from other parts of India, and foreigners, have increasingly arrived in Goa, thus changing the social landscape/structure. It is also true that there is much sense of resentment from many locals. I also think that there is little that the locals can do to stop the mainstreaming of Goa into India especially when the Goans have a history of migration to other parts of India and indeed other parts of the world.

the recent concern raised over the number of non-goans flooding
Goa, her statement would appear to be allegorically couched.
