I was surprised to read a big write upin Navhind Times, Monday Jun26,pg2,
Consumer Protection Council opens Br in Vasco! Some film actor was Chief
Guest. This organisation claims to have branches in Delhi,Bhopal and
"other" States! National President of CPC Mr ShivVanshankar presided and
so on.
I am at a loss to know from where this CPC comes,who is
funding it,how the Goa branch President was elected etc.The CPC is a State
body appointed by the government as per the Consumer Protection Act. That
it has gone to sleep is another story!
