Hi,
Going back to our childhood in the 50s and 60s, I remember there used to be
some elderly ladies called *Voijinn Mae*, going around villages, affording
medicinal help and advice on request. I don't remember much on this, but my
brain just turned upside down and while I was standing on my head, and the word
just popped up a moment ago. Is there anyone out there who can write something
on this Very Ethnic aspect of Old Goan Living?
