If you are looking for the best talent, you will not find it by advertising on the papers. When you advertise and schedule an interview, you will have lots and lots of applications to choose from and it is impossible to seperate the wheat from the chaff in a matter of one or two days. Most companies in Goa give more priority to cheap talent rather than best talent. So this method, even though tedious, works for them. Advertising on the local daily, The Navhind Times should get you a more than decent response. It is the best way to attract local talent. To find the best talent, you have to rely on word of mouth, because the best guys wont apply to newspaper ads and you will have to talk to people in the industry to figure out who is good and who is not. And ya, the best guys dont come cheap..
