Had Roberto Carlos stayed awake and covered Henry, Brazil may have beaten France. May have, could have, should have.....the Argentina-Germany could have had a different outcome. Even England-Portugal...
Portugal, Germany, Italy, France have had a very impressive tournament. To reach the semis, after a long season (including the qualifying stages) is simply amazing. To make it to the finals boggles the mind. Even more impressive than World Cup cricket with fewer teams and less hard work? With one-goal differences and penalty-kicks separating losers from winners, a little luck determines the outcome. With today's game and tomorrow's final, the best of the best are on view. Thanks for the memories, especially Zidane. Soon it will be time to get back to work. Till 2010...or at least till March 2007 and World Cup cricket.
