Majlis cordially invites you to the screening of "7 Islands and a
Metro". Duration 100 minutes a non-fiction feature film by Madhusree
Dutta at India International Centre Auditorium, Delhi on Thursday 20th
July, at 6.30 pm.
This non-fiction feature tells a tale of Bom Bahia/Bombay/Mumbai
through a tapestry of fiction, cinema vérité, art objects, found
footage, sound installation and literary texts. The narrative is
structured around debates between Ismat Chugtai and Sadat Hasan Manto
over the art of chronicling these multi-layered overlapping cities.
