Art and culture Minister Digambar Kamat disclosed in the Goa Assembly that..
- The cost of the Ravindra Bhavan was Rs.16.65 crore (1660,71,000)
- The fist phase of the prestigious air conditioned theatre complex will be
ready by December this year (2006).
- Ground floor consists of 5000sqmtrs and the first floor 2,400 sqmtrs
- Stage spread to an area 12.30 x 15.4 metres
- It will have sitting capacity of 1,100 persons.
- It will also have Control Room, Cry Baby Room*, Green Room, VIP Room,
Conference
Hall, Stage, Open Air Auditorium etc
*What is Cry Baby Room ?
It is a Room for mothers who could watch the programs (Tiatr etc) at the
auditorium
and also attend to their crying children without disturbing the audience.
JoeSays: The above CBR room was badly needed specially for the tiatr audience as
Tiatr now a days becoming more and more noisy due to children crying all the
times.
Another thing I would suggest that the modern auditorium should have a devise
which
would automatically cut-off all the mobile phones network signals.
Finally, I hope the above auditorium would be named after the 'Tiatrist Pai'
