Dear Bosco, Like myself there are many goanetters who have been brought up by this rock solid Christian moral code in Goa...and they still follow the same. In the last 7 years, time and again I have seen Christian/Church bashing on this forum..am sure you hv seen it all... A simple konkani greeting as 'Dev borem korum' has been objected on this forum....even our Goemcho Saib was not spared.
Although I do not support the discussion of Iraq war or US topics on Goanet, I do support Mario on some of his views..the debate on Goemcho Saib gives him full marks and I say...'Goemchea Saibachem tujer Bessaum assa'. This is not my view alone..there are 3 silent goanetters who informed me in pvt., and am sure there are many others who are silent, cause they simply do not have the time and energy to debate on these issues. I would say let us respect each others religions and stay united like true Goemcars instead of forming these gangs....I know we all are Good Goans here...we do not need to mention time and again...this is my sincere view and I think i may draw a few enemies cause of my support to Mario....but that does not bother me...cause I am a Goan Christian and majority of goanetters being Christians. (unfortunately the debates here are Christians vs Atheists which we hardly see in Goa) Dev borem Korum Edward Verdes Chinchinim/Mumbai/KSA > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Bosco D'Mello" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Wednesday, July 19, 2006 8:48 AM > Subject: Re: [Goanet] The rock solid Christian moral code > > > > The ping-pong on this thread may leave some of us cross-eyed. > > > > Gilbert continues to try and give us his thoughtful viewpoints. > > > > Santosh on the other hand is doing what he has been doing for well over a > > decade......de-mystifying religion.
