>From Goacom.com of July 26, 2006: The highlight of the evening (of the Grand Goan Festival in London) were the number of stalls catering to Goa's exotic food. Chief guest, Rabi Martins, ex-president of the Goa Association praised the achievements of the Goan community. He, however, lamented the lack of will and determintion of the Goans to make it to the top in the UK society in comparison with the other Indian communities.
Rabi Martins has made an interesting observation and a thought-provoking statement - I wonder why this is so. Perhaps Goanetters should debate this issue - determine the root causes and recommend suggestions for change - instead of debating Demand and Supply theories, Adam Smith and Keynesian economics, till they are blue in the face.
